Saturday 31st March
Not the weather we had been treated to during the week. I spent the first few miles with a rain cape on just to keep warm. We had a snapped chain early on but that got sorted.
The run through Chatsworth saw lots of deer.
The main road to Matlock was a tad scary with one old dear hit Marc with her wing mirror without even noticing. Maybe at a certain age they should take the test again or get glasses. It's a good Job his balance is first rate. I would have been on my arse.
Dinner at Cromford is always good.
Headed up Via Gelia but turned off to ride through Bonsall. Very pretty village that is. Then down to Bakewell on on to the Nags Head for beers. They have a rather nice fruit beer called Plum bitter which I recommend.
